A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced RN with stepdown unit expertise in Belen, NM. This contract position offers the chance to apply specialized cardiovascular nursing skills in a demanding PCU night shift setting. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of nursing experience, with a preference for two or more years, especially in cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in a 55-bed stepdown unit specializing in cardiovascular cases.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to manage a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1 effectively.
- Adhere to unit protocols including documentation in the EPIC system.
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts and float responsibilities as required.
- Maintain certification standards including BLS and ACLS, with CPI certification preferred.
- Work night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00 in 12-hour blocks, with flexible scheduling options of 36 or 48 hours weekly.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse licensure with stepdown or progressive care unit experience.
- Cardiovascular nursing background is essential due to the patient population served.
- Ability to work independently while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with EPIC documentation system highly preferred.
- Must have current BLS and ACLS certifications; CPI certification is a plus.
