Advance your nursing career in a specialized stepdown setting with this night shift contract opportunity. Provide high-quality care to patients in a progressive care unit, working within a 55-bed environment focused on cardiovascular health. Nurses with strong experience in stepdown and cardiovascular care are encouraged to apply.

Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 4x12-hour (18:30 07:00)
• Option for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekend rotation: As needed, rotating schedule
• Block scheduling: Considered on a case-by-case basis

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent PCU/stepdown experience (2 years preferred)
• Prior cardiovascular experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI preferred
• Proficient with EPIC documentation system

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and care for patients requiring intermediate or stepdown-level care
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4 to ensure quality and safe care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed within scope of expertise
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and clinical protocols
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients and families
