Provide expert nursing care in a stepdown unit setting, delivering comprehensive patient assessments and interventions to support recovery and health maintenance. This contract opportunity is based in Bay City, MI, offering a dynamic environment where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ongoing patient assessments to identify care needs and administer skilled nursing services following physician-approved care plans and evidence-based practices.
- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, patient education, assisting with transfers, responding to call lights and alarms, and other routine nursing duties.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, contributing to updates and revisions in partnership with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and facility-specific policies to maintain compliance and uphold standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with stepdown unit experience required.
- Strong ability to assess and manage complex patient cases.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to serve as a team leader and guide support staff.
- Knowledge of current healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and best nursing practices.
