A dynamic opportunity is open for a Registered Nurse skilled in Stepdown care. In this contract role, youll play a vital part in delivering advanced care to patients transitioning between critical care and medical-surgical levels of support. Your clinical expertise will be instrumental in managing complex patient needs, monitoring changes in condition, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Proficient in monitoring and responding to changes in patient status
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

• Contract position; specific shifts and duration to be discussed during the interview process

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients who require close observation and advanced monitoring post-ICU or with high acuity needs
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform frequent assessments
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergent conditions promptly
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes and health maintenance
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation in compliance with facility standards
