Position Details:
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- No on-call obligations
- EHR System: Cerner OneChart
- Uniform: Ceil blue scrubs
- Flexibility to float to similar units on the same campus, or to another campus within Wichita
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a stepdown environment, closely monitoring and supporting patients transitioning from critical care.
- Utilize your assessment skills to respond quickly to changes in patient condition, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Accurately document all interventions and patient responses in Cerner OneChart.
- Adapt to floating assignments, providing seamless care in different units or campuses as needed.
- Support patients and families by offering compassionate communication and education during their hospital stay.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of one year in a stepdown or similar acute care setting
- Proficiency with EHR charting, preferably Cerner OneChart
- Flexibility to adjust to changing unit needs, including floating assignments
- Strong teamwork focus and a commitment to excellent patient care
