Schedule/Hours:
- 48-hour contract
- Balanced nurse-to-patient ratio (1:4)
- 16-20-bed step-down unit
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a step-down or similar acute care environment
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with acute cases such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to a diverse range of patients transitioning from critical to acute care
- Conduct continuous assessments and manage complex medication regimens
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
