This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced RN with stepdown expertise. On assignment here, you'll collaborate with a diverse care team and expand your skillsetworking with advanced equipment like lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and through direct patient care involving trachs and stable vented patients. Youll broaden your clinical repertoire, gain exposure to a variety of leadership styles, and boost your resume while making a difference in patient lives.
Schedule/Hours
- Rotating shifts
- Expect 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts within a 6-week period
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of nursing experience (required)
- Proven experience caring for patients with trachs (required)
- Previous exposure to Cerner EMR (preferred)
- Strong adaptability and advanced clinical skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert care to stepdown and medical-surgical patients (1:3-4 stepdown, 1:4-6 med-surg ratio)
- Perform critical procedures: trach care, chest tube management, wound dressing changes
- Coordinate with charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs for optimal patient outcomes
- Float as needed to med-surg and progressive care units
- Adhere to unit guidelines and uphold the highest standards of nursing practice
