Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • At least one year of recent experience working in a stepdown or progressive care unit
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with telemetry and advanced cardiac monitoring
  • Able to advocate for patients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, rotating shifts may be required depending on unit needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for individuals recovering from critical illness, requiring an intermediate level of nursing support
  • Conduct thorough assessments, monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and follow complex care protocols
  • Educate patients and families regarding ongoing health management and recovery
  • Document care accurately and communicate updates to physicians and the broader care team
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive care environment
