Schedule/Hours:
- Contract assignment (duration discussed during interview process)
- Schedule specifics provided by the facility during hiring
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work well in fast-paced environments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals who are transitioning from critical care to lower acuity units
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform ongoing assessments
- Respond promptly to subtle changes in patient conditions and intervene appropriately
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and discharge instructions
- Exhibit professionalism and compassion in every interaction
