Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care unit experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency with complex patient assessments and interventions
• Excellent communication skills, collaboration, and the ability to remain calm in demanding situations
• Previous charge nurse experience or strong willingness and confidence to assume charge responsibilities as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex health needs
• Monitor vital signs, manage medications, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions
• Serve as a resource to team members and delegate tasks appropriately when in the charge nurse role
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure optimal outcomes
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to less experienced staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with hospital policies and protocols
