A healthcare facility in Asheville, NC is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown care to provide exceptional patient care on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to practice nursing critical to patients transitioning from intensive care to regular medical-surgical units.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from intensive care or acute conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to physicians and care teams
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license
- Experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic healthcare environment
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
