Job Description
Provide expert nursing care within critical and progressive care settings, including ICU, Step Down Unit, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU, and ER. This role involves comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of patient care to ensure high standards are maintained. Maintain competency across all designated units, fostering seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes. Supervise and delegate responsibilities to ancillary staff according to their scope of practice while adhering to nursing standards and protocols. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment represented by the Certified Nurses Association (CNA).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care in ICU, Step Down, Med Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER units.
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain competencies and certifications for all assigned units.
- Supervise ancillary personnel and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Document nursing care and communicate effectively with team members and patients.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in step-down nursing and critical care settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain competencies across various units.
- Effective supervisory and delegation abilities.
- CNA representation experience is preferred but not required.
