Deliver expert nursing care within a fast-paced Surgical Stepdown unit in Arnold, MO, supporting patients recovering from high-acuity surgeries and complex medical conditions. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care consistent with stepdown protocols including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Monitor patients post-operatively and manage complex care needs such as cardiac drips, BiPAP, and other advanced interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR systems.
• Adhere to facility policies, privacy standards, and safety regulations.
• Float to other units with similar or lower acuity when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN licensure in Missouri or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown or ICU nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with high-acuity post-op, trauma, and medical patients.
• Positive attitude, dependable, and a collaborative team player.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• Night shifts: 1900-0730, 36 or 48 hours weekly (flexible guaranteed hours).
• 13-week assignment.
• Weekend rotation every other weekend.
• No call requirements.
