As a Registered Nurse working in a fast-paced 23-bed stepdown unit (with additional med-surg beds), youll gain valuable exposure to diverse patient populations and best practices. Collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team, learn new protocols, and experience a variety of leadership styles that will enrich your skills portfolio, making you highly sought-after in the nursing profession.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Rotating shifts; weekend commitment required (6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to stepdown and med-surg patients, including those requiring advanced interventions (trach care, chest tubes, wound dressing changes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients)
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and provide ongoing care in alignment with evolving clinical protocols
  • Utilize EMR (Cerner) efficiently for documentation and communication
  • Collaborate with physicians, patient care technicians, and other RNs to ensure coordinated care
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members as needed
  • Float to other med-surg and progressive care units, adapting to diverse clinical settings

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with minimum 2 years nursing experience
  • Experience working with tracheostomy patients required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical competence
  • Previous Cerner EMR experience (preferred)
  • Willingness to provide exceptional patient care across multiple units
