Job Description
Seeking a skilled registered nurse with experience in stepdown care to provide expert clinical support and compassionate care on a contract basis. This role requires specialized knowledge in monitoring and responding to patients transitioning from intensive care, ensuring safe recovery and high-quality outcomes.
Schedule:
- Contract position; scheduled hours may vary to meet unit needs.
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum one year of recent stepdown unit experience
- Proficiency in patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive care to patients recovering from critical illness or surgery
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and carry out physician orders accurately
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to signs of patient deterioration
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, recovery plans, and discharge requirements
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient medical records
