Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience in a Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit, or similar transitional care setting strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities
• Comfort with telemetry and advanced patient monitoring systems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle high-acuity patient populations with professionalism and empathy

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to Stepdown patients, closely monitoring their recovery and response to interventions
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care plans
• Monitor vital signs, manage intravenous lines, and administer prescribed medications and therapies
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, recovery process, and ongoing care requirements
• Document all interventions, assessments, and patient responses in accordance with hospital protocols
