Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Prior experience in stepdown or progressive care units preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in the PCU
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond promptly
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and interpret telemetry rhythms
- Educate patients and families on recovery and care plans
- Document patient care accurately and promptly
