As an RN in the Progressive Care Cardiac Unit, you will work alongside skilled professionals and care for a diverse population of heart failure patients. Youll gain valuable exposure to advanced cardiac practices and a range of workplace methodologies, enhancing your expertise and broadening your rsum. Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position (specific shift hours will be discussed during the interview process)
Required Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Previous experience with stepdown/PCU or cardiac patients highly preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients with complex cardiac conditions in a stepdown unit environment
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding appropriately to changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Administer medications and manage advanced therapies
- Educate patients and families about ongoing cardiac care and post-discharge instructions
- Accurately complete documentation and uphold all safety and infection control standards
