Step into a dynamic role providing expert care in a progressive care unit (PCU) within a well-equipped heart hospital. As a Registered Nurse specializing in stepdown care, you'll collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes for individuals with complex cardiovascular needs. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of 36 or 48-hour workweeks and welcomes both seasoned professionals and first-time travelers eager to grow their skills.

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Night shifts: 4x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
• Flexible weekly hours: 36 or 48, based on your preference
• Weekend shifts as needed, on a rotating basis
• Floating to other units required; on-call is not necessary
• Block scheduling may be available (case by case)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• 1+ years of stepdown or PCU experience required (2+ years preferred)
• Cardiovascular care experience strongly preferred
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required; CPI a plus
• EPIC documentation experience valued
• Adaptability to work in a 55-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-patient ratio

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, expert care to stepdown patients in a cardiovascular setting
• Utilize advanced monitoring and nursing interventions for patients transitioning from critical care
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in EPIC
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
• Flexibly float to related units as needed to meet patient care demands
