Job Title: School Nurse (RN)
Position Type: Full Time Contract (W2)
Start Date: ASAP (~2 weeks from offer to onboard before starting)
Pay Rate: $40-$45/HR depending on experience

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to support students within a school setting. The School RN will provide direct nursing care, manage student health needs, and collaborate with families and school staff to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Current IL State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred
• Previous pediatric, school-based, or community health nursing experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and emergency medical support to students.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
• Monitor and support students with chronic conditions, disabilities, and other medical needs.
• Develop and follow individualized healthcare and emergency care plans as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and documentation.
• Assist with health screenings, immunization compliance, and required health documentation.
• Communicate with families, school staff, healthcare providers, and administrators regarding student health needs.
• Respond to medical emergencies and follow established emergency protocols.
• Promote student wellness, health education, and disease prevention within the school community.
