Job Description

Support quality patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Rehab and Long-Term Care. This rewarding contract position is based in Wautoma, WI, offering the opportunity to work 12-hour day shifts in a highly respected facility recognized for excellence in nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care for patients in a 20-bed long-term care and 17-bed rehab unit
  • Follow physician orders and assess wound care needs
  • Perform PIV insertions and blood draws
  • Utilize electronic charting systems, preferably Epic and Pyxis
  • Float to a nearby facility within 40 miles when needed, supporting both rehab and LTC patients
  • Collaborate effectively in a nursing ratio that may be as high as 1:17-20

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Wisconsin RN license and AHA Basic Life Support certification
  • Associate degree in nursing with a minimum of 2 years in LTC or post-acute nursing
  • Recent hands-on LTC experience is required
  • Experience with Epic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing is preferred
  • Strong wound care skills and the ability to follow medical directives
  • Prior travel nursing experience is a plus

Schedule & Contract Details:

  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 12-hour day shifts with weekend rotation every other week
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Onboarding includes 5 days: one onboarding day plus four shifts with a preceptor
  • Contract length: 6 weeks with a start date as soon as possible
