A Registered Nurse specializing in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care is sought for a contract position in Penn Yan, NY. This role demands an experienced nursing professional dedicated to quality resident care, clinical supervision, and strong leadership within nursing units.

Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
- BLS certification through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation
- CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- Familiarity with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) requirements
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication (written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work professionally under stress and maintain teamwork through role modeling
Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee nursing unit operations under the direction of the Director of Nursing - LTC, delivering clinical supervision directly or through delegated staff
- Ensure quality resident care by teaching and supervising nursing personnel during shifts
- Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers about unit issues, collaborating on problem resolution
- Make sound administrative decisions in the absence of senior leadership during off-shifts and weekends within defined scope
- Collaborate professionally with medical staff, department managers, and ancillary services to enhance care delivery
- Model and lead customer focus principles ensuring safety, dignity, respect, and well-being in the care environment
- Manage occupational exposure risks related to bloodborne pathogens in clinical tasks
