This role is designed for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care settings. The position is based in Durham, NC, and offers a contract opportunity with a structured day shift schedule.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with experience in Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care
- Skills in staff development, orientation, and in-service education for nursing personnel
- Certification as a Skilled Nursing Facility (SPICE) preferred
- Ability to monitor and investigate incidents and medication errors
- Competence in infection control monitoring within healthcare facilities
- Strong organizational skills to maintain license and certification records for nursing staff
- Availability to provide direct patient care and assume on-call nurse responsibilities as required
Responsibilities:
- Orient new employees and facilitate ongoing education for nursing staff
- Organize and conduct an annual skills day for nurses and nursing assistants
- Ensure all nursing licenses and certifications are current and compliance with renewal processes
- Monitor facility-wide incidents, medication errors, and infection control measures
- Provide direct patient care when needed and manage on-call nursing duties according to policy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
