This contract role focuses on adults recovering from stroke and neurological conditions within a 30-bed rehab unit. Schedule:
- 32 hours per week
- 8-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
- Four days a week, including every other weekend
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with good standing
- Previous experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care for adult patients undergoing neurorehabilitation, especially post-stroke cases
- Administer medications and manage comprehensive care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical, occupational, and speech therapists
- Monitor patient progress, ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication with providers and families
- Support and educate patients and families on recovery and discharge plans
- Uphold infection control and safety protocols consistently
