Advance your nursing career in a dynamic rehabilitation and long-term care environment supporting adult patients with complex neurological needs. As a registered nurse, you will play a vital role in a specialized 30-bed neuro-rehab unit, focusing on high-quality, compassionate care for individuals recovering from stroke and related conditions.
Schedule/Hours:
- 32 hours per week
- 8-hour evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
- 4 days a week
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Previous experience in rehab or long-term care settings strongly preferred
- Clinical expertise in neurological and stroke patient care highly valued
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care specifically geared to adult populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Dedication to patient safety, teamwork, and positive patient outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care to adults undergoing rehabilitation for neurological and stroke-related conditions
- Administer medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and manage complex care protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teamsincluding physicians, therapists, and social workersto coordinate treatment plans and discharge processes
- Educate patients and families on ongoing recovery strategies, medication management, and supportive care practices
- Meticulously document assessments, interventions, and patient progress
- Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient status or emergency situations, implementing evidence-based protocols
