Qualifications:
- Current NY RN license required
- BLS Certification (AHA only)
- Experience in telemetry
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Duties:
- Conduct intake assessments through patient and relative interviews, gathering detailed case histories
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Evaluate patients medical and emotional status, recommending appropriate treatment options
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and behavioral health teams
- Administer medications, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor reactions
- Arrange additional medical care as needed
- Educate patients and families about emotional disturbances and treatment acceptance
- Ensure safety and security for all in the environment
- Monitor vital signs of pain and administer pain-related treatments
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient confidentiality
- Perform essential administrative tasks and provide high-quality service, responding to requests and referrals
