Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating weekends: Every third weekend
- No on call
Qualifications:
- Active RN license; minimum 6 months of prior nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing assignment completed
- BLS certification
- Able to obtain CPI certification onsite (must be physically capable to participate in CPI training)
- Demonstrated skills in de-escalation and milieu management across a broad age range
- Ability to perform physical holds, manage restraint/seclusion, and oversee multiple escalated situations
- Proficient with IM medication administration and comfortable managing asthma patients
- Confident working independently and with a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized care to adolescent patients, including those with complex behavioral health needs and trauma backgrounds
- Use effective de-escalation skills and provide safe, therapeutic interventions, including administering medications and managing restraints as needed
- Float within the facility to units serving diverse patient ages as operationally required
- Collaborate with MHTs, therapists, case managers, and security, utilizing available technology and resources (Cerner EMR, Omnicell, dedicated response teams)
- Maintain documentation and contribute to a culture of patient and staff safety
