Strengthen your clinical expertise in a robust psychiatric care setting, supporting adolescent patients with complex diagnoses such as trauma, self-harm, and behavioral challenges. Working with a diverse multidisciplinary team, you'll gain exposure to progressive leadership styles and best practices in crisis management, patient safety, and therapeutic interventions. Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation every third weekend
- No on-call
- Flexible floating and shift assignments
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with a minimum of six months' experience (previous travel assignment required)
- BLS certification (CPI to be completed on-site)
- Proven skills in de-escalation, milieu management, and behavioral health crisis intervention
- Confident administering IM medications and managing asthma care
- Ability to safely perform physical holds and make decisions regarding seclusion/restraint
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple escalated events simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered nursing care to adolescents with diverse psychiatric needs
- Respond effectively to rapidly evolving behavioral health situations
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, support staff, and security teams to ensure safety and promote healing
- Document care in Cerner EMR and utilize Omnicell for medication dispensing
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Float across units as needed, flexibly adapting to patient needs
