A psychiatric nursing opportunity is now open for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in behavioral health and supervisory responsibilities. This contract position is designed for an RN who excels in a leadership role overnight, acting as the primary support resource on the off-shift. The successful candidate will manage staffing, oversee clinical care, and ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a dynamic behavioral health setting.

Schedule:

• 10:45 pm 7:15 am shift
• Five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
• Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday, 11 pm 7 am)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
• Proven background in a supervisory or leadership capacity within nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and crisis management skills
• Ability to coordinate and support clinical staff while maintaining patient safety and care standards
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and documentation requirements in psychiatric care

Key Responsibilities:

• Function as the house supervisor during overnight hours, providing leadership and support for clinical staff
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and appropriate distribution of nursing resources throughout the facility
• Assist with complex patient cases, respond to emergencies, and provide hands-on clinical support as needed
• Communicate effectively with other supervisors and leadership to relay critical information
• Maintain and oversee compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff questions, patient care concerns, and crisis intervention
