Seeking an experienced psychiatric registered nurse to lead overnight operations and provide supervision within an inpatient behavioral health setting. This role serves as off-shift house nurse supervisor, coordinating patient care, supporting clinical staff, and acting as the primary resource for nursing concerns during the 10:45pm7:15am schedule.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 10:45pm 7:15am
• Five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
• Every other weekend: Friday and Saturday, 11:00pm 7:00am

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Background in psychiatric or mental health nursing required
• Previous leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Exceptional communication, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage rapidly changing situations and prioritize effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee patient care and staffing needs during overnight hours throughout the hospital
• Serve as the primary resource for bedside staff with clinical, operational, or patient-safety concerns
• Respond promptly to all emergencies, including psychiatric codes and medical decompensation
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and hospital policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Document and communicate shift activities, patient safety events, and staffing concerns to leadership
• Support a safe, compassionate, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff
