This role provides hands-on exposure to a fast-paced adolescent behavioral health environment with 23 beds and an average daily census of 1821 patients. Youll collaborate closely with supportive leadership, case managers, and therapists, utilizing advanced safety resources and innovative care approaches. Enhance your skill set and rsum by working with complex behavioral health diagnoses, navigating adolescent psychiatric care, and gaining proficiency in advanced technology.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts, nights or days, with weekend rotation every third weekend
• Flexibility required; floating across units for both children and adults as needed

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 6 months psychiatric nursing experience
• Must have completed at least one travel assignment previously
• BLS certification required; CPI training provided onsite
• Strong de-escalation and crisis intervention skills
• Physical ability to perform holds and safety interventions
• Compassion, patience, and the ability to manage multiple escalated events simultaneously
• Comfort working independently as the sole RN on a unit when needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Care for adolescents with behavioral health challenges, including those with aggressive or self-harming behaviors
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, security, and case managers
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Omnicell med dispensing
• Administer IM injections and implement care plans for high-acuity patients
• Float as needed across all units based on census and patient needs
