Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in an inpatient psychiatric nursing position, providing care and support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This contract-based opportunity offers both day and night shifts, allowing for a balanced schedule and the chance to deliver high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor ongoing status
  • Administer and manage psychiatric medications according to physician orders
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Deliver patient education and emotional support to individuals and families
  • Respond promptly to psychiatric crises with effective intervention techniques
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting in accordance with facility protocols

Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia RN license or Compact RN license
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
