Schedule/Hours:
- Travel nursing assignment (specific hours to be discussed)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments/interviews with patients and relatives to gather comprehensive case histories
- Plan and provide holistic nursing care to psychiatric patients
- Administer medications, monitor, and document reactionsespecially psychotropic drugs
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health professionals to create individualized treatment plans
- Support patients in understanding and accepting the need for emotional and psychiatric care
- Maintain a safe, secure environment for both staff and patients; monitor and treat pain
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and results, ensuring patient confidentiality
- Perform administrative duties including charting, answering phones, and managing records
- Deliver courteous, high-quality service to all patients and public inquiries
Qualifications:
- Active NY RN license (required)
- AHA BLS certification
- Telemetry competency
- Minimum two years of relevant nursing experience
