Schedule:

• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend rotation every third weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday shifts based on facility scheduling
• Approved up to 5 days RTO

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 6 months of recent experience
• Completed at least one prior travel assignment
• BLS required; CPI certification (provided on site), must be physically able to perform patient holds/restraints
• Strong de-escalation and milieu management skills with children ages 412 and varying levels of mental health needs
• Experience administering IM medications, managing multiple escalated patients, and working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexible and comfortable floating between child and adult units as census requires

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adolescent patients displaying aggressive, impulsive, or self-harm behaviors
• Use clinical judgment to initiate safety interventions, including use of restraint/seclusion per protocol
• Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, and security, leveraging state-of-the-art code response technology and resources
• Document care and interventions in Cerner EMR; utilize Omnicell medication dispensing
• Support a safe therapeutic environment and lead milieu management efforts
