This dynamic role provides the invaluable chance to hone your skills in a high-acuity adolescent psychiatric environment. With exposure to varied workplace practices, cutting-edge safety protocols, and collaborative leadership approaches, youll broaden your professional expertise while expanding your rsum. Gain hands-on experience with patients ranging from ages 412, many with complex behavioral and trauma-related backgrounds, and be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to making a meaningful impact.

Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • Every third weekend rotation
  • No on-call requirements
  • Holiday shifts based on schedule
  • 5 days of approved RTO

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months of RN Psych experience (must have completed at least one travel assignment)
  • Current RN licensure, BLS required
  • CPI certification (obtained on site; must be able to safely conduct patient restraints)
  • Strong de-escalation and milieu management abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple escalated situations and supporting a wide age range
  • Prior experience with IM meds administration, adolescent psychiatric care, and asthma treatment in this population

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for adolescent psychiatric patients, including crisis intervention
  • Effectively de-escalate aggressive or impulsive behaviors and utilize seclusion/restraint procedures as needed
  • Administer medications, document care in Cerner EMR, and maintain patient safety
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, and security
  • Float to work with children and adult populations as needed
