Job Description

Location: Based in Midland, GA, this position allows you to serve a diverse patient population within a community-focused healthcare facility. Midland provides a welcoming environment with easy access to nearby cities, offering a balance of small-town charm and available amenities.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in a psychiatric setting
  • Administer and manage medications safely and effectively
  • Develop individualized care plans tailored to each patients needs
  • Provide patient education and ongoing emotional support
  • Perform crisis intervention when necessary to ensure patient safety
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete timely reports

Qualifications:

  • Current Georgia RN License or Compact RN License
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
  • Preference given to local nurses familiar with the community
