Job Description

Provide specialized nursing care in an adult acute psychiatric setting, supporting patient recovery and unit growth through expert clinical skills and compassionate care. This role requires independent practice with the ability to manage complex clinical situations and contribute to long-term care planning.

Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately. Assess patient and caregiver learning needs and provide appropriate education. Make clinical assignments and delegate tasks to optimize patient care. Uphold professional nursing standards in line with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Demonstrate leadership by meeting competencies designated for personal and team development.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in psychiatric nursing or related specialty preferred. Current RN license in New Mexico or through nurse licensure compact. Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
