An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced psychiatric registered nurse to serve as the Off-Shift House Nurse Supervisor on a contract basis. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care during overnight hours in a dynamic healthcare environment. The assignment is set for the 10:45pm 7:15am shift, encompassing 5 eight-hour shifts per week (totaling 40 hours), with every other weekend requiredFriday and Saturday nights (11pm7am).
Schedule:
- 10:45pm 7:15am shifts
- Five, 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
- Every other weekend: Friday & Saturday nights, 11pm7am
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric/mental health nursing experience
- Leadership skills with demonstrated ability to oversee nursing staff across units
- Strong decision-making and crisis management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience as a resource nurse or nursing supervisor preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrative nursing leader during off-shift hours
- Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff throughout the facility
- Respond to and manage emergencies or critical incidents as they arise
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
- Offer guidance, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced staff
- Complete administrative duties and documentation as required
