Take on a vital leadership role as an Off-Shift House Nurse Supervisor for psychiatric nursing care. This is a contract opportunity suited for an experienced Registered Nurse passionate about behavioral health. You will provide oversight, guidance, and support for the night shift team, ensuring safe, effective patient care throughout the facility.
Schedule/Hours:
- 10:45pm 7:15am shift
- Five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
- Every other weekend: Friday and Saturday, 11pm 7am
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active RN license
- Demonstrated psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and respond quickly in emergent situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and clinical support to nursing and ancillary staff during off-shift hours
- Oversee patient care in psychiatric units to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Serve as an on-site resource and supervisor; address staffing, admissions, and urgent issues as they arise
- Collaborate closely with medical, psychiatric, and support teams
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or concerns that occur overnight
- Facilitate smooth operations between day and night shifts through effective communication and documentation
