Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license; BLS certification required
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
  • CPI certification completed onsite (must meet physical requirements)
  • At least 6 months of recent RN psych experience
  • Experienced in de-escalation, milieu management, physical holds, seclusion/restraint decisions, and IM med administration
  • Capable of managing multiple high-acuity situations and working independently
  • Comfortable working with patients ranging from ages 4 to 12, with flexibility to float to other units as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescent psychiatric patients
  • Administer medications and perform clinical interventions confidently during crisis situations
  • Ensure patient and employee safety in a fluctuating, high-acuity setting
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and participate in ongoing unit improvements
