Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Registered Nurses with expertise in psychiatric care. This contract role offers the chance to work in a dynamic in-patient psychiatric environment, supporting individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges. Candidates must be able to commit to a consistent weekday schedule.
Schedule/Hours:
- 2nd shift; 2:45pm 11:15pm
- Five 8-hour shifts per week (no 12-hour shift applicants, please)
- 13-week duration
Qualifications/Experience:
- Current, active RN license valid for practice in New Hampshireprovide a copy upon submission
- Minimum of two (2) years in-patient psychiatric nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric nursing best practices and patient care in a behavioral health setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult psychiatric in-patients
- Conduct thorough assessments and administer psychiatric and medical interventions as prescribed
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress with interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Maintain safety and de-escalate crises using appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medication as needed
- Uphold all protocols and ethical standards for behavioral health practice
