Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with flexible scheduling options

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of one year experience in psychiatric/behavioral health nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and therapeutic relationship-building skills
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to patients in a psychiatric setting, including assessments, medication administration, and crisis intervention
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and document patient progress, noting changes in mental or physical status
• Educate patients and their families on mental health topics and treatment plans
• Work closely with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare providers to address patient needs and coordinate care
• Advocate for patient safety, participate in unit rounds, and contribute to process improvements on the unit
