We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses with psychiatric experience for 13-week contract opportunities on the 2nd shift (2:45pm11:15pm, five 8-hour shifts per week). This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute psychiatric conditions while collaborating closely with a dedicated healthcare team.
Schedule:
- 2nd shift: 2:45pm 11:15pm
- Five 8-hour shifts per week (no 12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract assignment
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license, eligible to practice in New Hampshire (NH)
- Copy of RN license required at time of submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA or ARC
- Minimum of two years recent in-patient psychiatric nursing experience
- Effective communication and de-escalation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based mental health nursing practices
Responsibilities:
- Assess psychiatric patients, monitor mental status, document care, and assist with crisis intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education related to mental health treatments
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to all regulatory standards
