Job Description

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced psychiatric RN to serve as an Off-Shift House Nurse Supervisor during the night shift. This critical position supports behavioral health teams, providing leadership, clinical guidance, and ensuring quality care delivery during after-hours operations.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 10:45pm 7:15am
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
  • Every other weekend: Friday and Saturday, 11:00pm 7:00am

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or resource role preferred
  • Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and de-escalation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergent situations with professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and clinical direction to nursing staff throughout psychiatric units during overnight hours
  • Serve as the administrative point of contact and nursing resource for all after-hours clinical concerns
  • Respond to emergent situations, coordinating the appropriate response to behavioral health crises or urgent medical needs
  • Support safe staffing levels by reallocating personnel as appropriate
  • Ensure all incident documentation and shift reports are completed accurately
  • Uphold regulatory compliance, quality standards, and patient safety
  • Mentor and assist nursing team members, facilitating professional growth and a positive work environment
