As a psychiatric RN, youll gain rewarding professional development by supporting adolescents with complex behavioral health needs. Schedule/Hours:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Every third weekend rotation
• No on-call requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid RN license, BLS certification required
• Minimum of 6 months RN experience and at least one prior travel assignment completed
• CPI certification obtainable on site (must be able to safely perform physical holds and transitions)
• Proven ability in de-escalation, IM injections, and proactive recognition of patient agitation
• Comfortable managing multiple escalated patients/events simultaneously
• Strong patience, compassion, and professionalism in challenging situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled and compassionate psychiatric care to adolescent patients
• Utilize verbal and physical de-escalation and, when necessary, implement seclusion or mechanical restraints
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and security to ensure a safe environment
• Float as needed between units and varying patient age groups
• Maintain thorough documentation using the Cerner EMR system
• Engage actively in facility orientation and ongoing staff development
