Job Description
Seeking experienced psychiatric registered nurses with the skills and compassion to provide outstanding care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. This is a contract opportunity working five 8-hour shifts per week, on the 2nd shift. Schedule:
- 2nd shift: 2:45pm to 11:15pm
- Five 8-hour shifts per week (no 12-hour shifts)
- 13-week contract
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license, valid for work in New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient psychiatric RN experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Must be able to provide a copy of RN license upon request
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary mental health teams
- Strong communication, observation, and clinical assessment skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in accordance with treatment plans
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document all care
- Conduct clinical assessments and participate in crisis management
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff to support quality care
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
