An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced psychiatric Registered Nurse to serve as an Off-Shift House Nurse Supervisor. This contract position is essential in supporting a behavioral health team, providing leadership and clinical guidance during nighttime hours. Schedule:

• 10:45pm 7:15am shift
• Five 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• Every other weekend required: Friday and Saturday 11pm7am

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Clinical experience in psychiatric nursing required
• Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership in healthcare settings strongly preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and crisis intervention skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective team management
• Knowledge of best practices in behavioral health and patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the nursing supervisor during off-shift hours, providing oversight for staff and patient care operations
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and manage complex psychiatric patient needs
• Facilitate safe admission, transfer, and discharge processes after regular hours
• Support and mentor nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to policies and high standards of care
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals and administrative personnel as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in shift handovers to the day team
