Experienced Registered Nurses are needed for a 26-week contract at a leading psychiatric and behavioral health hospital in Montana. This opportunity calls for dedicated professionals who excel in delivering care and support to individuals navigating psychiatric and behavioral health challenges. The clinical environment is secure and collaborative, designed to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3648 hours per week based on unit needs
- Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be available depending on facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions for psychiatric patients
- Complete thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Monitor behavioral and medical changes, and adjust care plans as needed
- Respond promptly to psychiatric and medical emergencies, utilizing clinical and de-escalation skills
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, medications, and post-discharge instructions
- Uphold safety standards in line with behavioral health best practices
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state requirements apply)
- Background in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or acute care nursing preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Preferred: CPI, MOAB, or other crisis intervention credentials (may be required prior to assignment)
- Able to complete required background/drug screenings and onboarding
