Exciting opportunities are available for Registered Nurses with strong psychiatric experience to provide exceptional care to patients in an in-patient mental health setting. This 13-week contract role focuses on supporting adults in an environment that encourages healing, safety, and positive outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week (no 12-hour shifts accepted)
- 2nd shift: 2:45pm to 11:15pm
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license, with eligibility to practice in New Hampshire (must provide a copy of RN license)
- Two (2) years of recent experience working in in-patient psychiatric/psych settings
- BLS certification (AHA and/or ARC required)
- Proven ability to work effectively and compassionately as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring in a psychiatric in-patient environment
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adhering to best practices
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other team members to implement individualized care plans
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and employ de-escalation techniques as needed
- Provide support, education, and advocacy for patients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment
- Complete accurate and prompt documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
