Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license
  • At least one year of recent psychiatric/mental health nursing experience preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to excel in a high-acuity environment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
  • Monitor patient status and promptly respond to changes in condition or behavior
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
  • Foster a therapeutic and safe environment for patients, families, and staff
  • Participate in patient and family education initiatives to promote understanding and engagement in care plans
