Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered RN license
- At least one year of recent psychiatric/mental health nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to excel in a high-acuity environment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning
- Monitor patient status and promptly respond to changes in condition or behavior
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
- Foster a therapeutic and safe environment for patients, families, and staff
- Participate in patient and family education initiatives to promote understanding and engagement in care plans
