Join a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit requiring experienced registered nurses with a passion for pediatric critical care. This travel opportunity in Nixa, MO, offers night shift hours caring for diverse pediatric patients at a top-ranked facility known for clinical excellence and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to PICU patients using the nursing processassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments for coordinated care delivery
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
- Work flexible float assignments on NICU, PICU, pediatric medical floor, or pediatric ED based on patient volume
- Participate in night shift orientation on day shift as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Current RN license or eligibility for Missouri licensure
- Minimum 2 years PICU experience with ventilator competence, including at least 1 year post-orientation
- Certifications: BLS, PALS (AHA), and TNCC required
- Able to safely lift and mobilize patients, withstand physical demands of ICU nursing
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable under fast-paced critical care conditions
Work Schedule:
- Nights: 1830-0700, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend and float assignments as required by the unit

- Facility is a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center with exceptional safety ratings and recognized for high-quality stroke and cardiac care
- Mandatory flu vaccination or approved exemption for travel staff during flu season (Nov 1Apr 1)
- Professional scrub attire required; black scrubs preferred
