This assignment in a high-acuity PICU at a Level II Trauma center offers hands-on exposure to advanced pediatric critical care and the collaborative practices of a respected teaching hospital. You'll work side by side with experienced intensivists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams, broadening your clinical perspective and building lasting relationships. Strengthen your resume with valuable pediatric acute care experience, gain confidence with state-of-the-art equipment, and interact with innovative EMR systems.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with at least 1 year of acute care hospital PICU experience
  • Valid BLS and PALS certifications
  • Strong prioritization for candidates with:
    • CRRT experience
    • APHON certification
    • Previous pediatric teaching hospital exposure

Preferred Qualities:

  • Composed under pressure in a fast-paced, learning-rich environment
  • Patient-centered mindset and proven care delivery skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric ICU patients (2:1 ratio) in a 15-bed unit
  • Collaborate efficiently with intensivists and multidisciplinary team members
  • Perform procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
  • Leverage Meditech/CPN for documentation and care support
  • Contribute to the culture of teaching and mentorship within the unit
